Processor Complex
The result of perfectly balancing performance and efficiency.
At the heart of the EnergyCore architecture is the same ultra-efficient ARM processor cores deployed in nearly every mobile device in the world. With the ability to seamlessly turn on-and-off 7x every second, these cores are perfect for data centers that care about both performance and efficiency. Each SoC comprises of:
- Efficient multi-core ARM processors that provide excellent performance, but even better performance per watt.
- Integrated server memory controllers that can drive the largest L2 cache available with full ECC support.
- High-performance I/O controllers via standard interfaces such as SATA and PCI Express for system designs that are computationally and I/O balanced for a variety of markets.
The Performance you need, at a fraction of the power.
Within the ECX-1000 Series of processors, the EnergyCore Processor Complex is implemented with server-class workloads in mind and comes with a large 4MB ECC L2 cache to enhance performance and reduce energy consumption by reducing cache misses. Complementing up to four ARM Cortex cores is a host of high-performance server-class I/O controllers via standard interfaces such as SATA and PCI Express interfaces. This provides system vendors the freedom and flexibility to design systems that are balanced for specific markets requirements. (See the ECX-1000 Technical Specifications for more details.)
